Launched in 1977, Airgun World is considered by many to be ‘The Bible’ as far as airgun magazines are concerned. It has a long-standing history of being the first magazine to review many of the newest airguns to market.
Edited by Terry Doe, Airgun World focusses mainly on the latest launches/innovations, technical knowhow, hunting, FT and HFT competition shooting plus the science behind the sport, and is geared towards those who have been shooting for a number of years.
First published in 1984, Air Gunner has sat alongside Airgun World quite comfortably, positioning itself more towards newcomers to the sport and at those returning to shooting airguns after a long break. The current editor, Dave Barham, has also introduced a dedicated ‘Junior’ section with an aim to getting more kids into the sport.
Monthly rifle, scope and pistol reviews, coupled with HFT/FT competition news and some handy maintenance and hunting features make it a great allrounder.
