Buck Knives has created their new PakLites for shooters who like to travel light. With a heavy-duty skeletal steel frame, the knife is tough enough to ensure years of reliable performance, yet is so lightweight you'll hardly know it's there on your hip. CJ Buck, the company's president said: "As an active hunter, I try to carry as little weight as possible without sacrificing quality performance, so I asked our design-engineers to see what they could come up with. I am impressed with the PakLite and I'm confident other hunters will share my enthusiasm." The PakLite is available in two models – the 140 Skinner and the 135 Caper. Both are made of Buck's time-tested 420HC stainless steel, ensuring durability and corrosionresistance, and they come in a heavy-duty nylon sheath. Retail prices for the knives are:- Paklite Caper with black traction coating 29.95, Paklite Caper in Stainless Steel 24.95, Paklite Skinner with traction coating 29.95 and Paklite Skinner in Stainless Steel 24.95. The Skinner has a 2-7/8” skinning blade that is 0.150" thick, and it's 6-5/8"overall, and it weighs just 2.5 oz.. The smaller Caper has a 2-1/2” modified caping blade, 0.100" thick, is 6-3/4" overall and weighs only 1.1 oz. Both sizes are also available with a textured black powder coating to provide traction for a solid grip. PakLites are backed by Buck's unconditional Forever Warranty.
